news producing

The three pillars of my producing mantra include: ensuring attention to detail, staying fair and objective and prioritizing the needs of our viewers. To the right, you'll find examples of recent work from my newscast-producing course prior to joining Cronkite News as a producer this summer.

Final Project- 195/200

A majority of this rundown was created...then the incident at the WHCD occurred. I'm most proud of my ability to pivot on a dime with top stories while executing finer details of cues and chyrons. I thoroughly enjoyed my research on the entertainment/consumer block. It was an honor to see this rundown at the forefront of class results.

A/B Blocks- 47/50

This rundown was built following the beginning of the conflict with Iran. I researched national and global stories in an attempt to build a cohesive first half of a show. This assignment proved to me that with a few tweaks, I could become an efficient and effective producer.

Midterm Rundown Update- 148/150

I went into this midterm cautiously optimistic. I did not know that mindset would turn into me receiving the highest score in the class. While it was mainly writing scripts for pre-approved headlines, it helped me turn in scripts efficiently and on-time.
